Madilyn and Du’s wildflower wedding at the Montague Retreat Center in western Massachusetts was such a unique and joyful celebration. This wedding reflected Madilyn and Du’s commitment to live simply and faithfully. Every detail included in their wedding day was personal and the result of a loving community effort.
The DIY elements of this wedding were so special. Madilyn sewed each one of her bridesmaids’ dresses (I know, amazing, right?!). Each dress was made of a slightly different pattern and color and perfectly suited each bridesmaid. Madilyn and her bridesmaids made all the bouquets and boutonnieres and did an absolutely incredible job. One of the most fun DIY elements of the wedding was that two close friend of the couple brewed the beer for the wedding! There were two different custom brews, White Veil Ale and Happy Day IPA. Another friend designed the labels for the beer bottles. And the amazing dessert table? That was the product of another friend’s delicious baking, topped by a ceramic bride and groom piece made by the bride. Madilyn and Du love camping and living in nature, and so their wedding gift to each guest was a sweet packet of wildflowers.
Madilyn and Du have been such sweet friends to me and I was so honored to photograph their wedding. Their wedding day was a joyful and exuberant celebration. I would have expected nothing less from such an amazing couple!
Thank you so much Du and Madilyn for letting me be a part of your wedding day!
